D.I.Y: Hibiscus Honey mask ▌ ماسك الكركديه والعسل

Hello, in today's post I'll be sharing with you a diy mask that is easy to make but gives beautiful results

أهلين، في هذا البوست بعطيكم طريقة عمل ماسك سهل ونتائجة ممتازة

Ingredients:

- 1/2 cup of water (I used drinking water)

- 1 tsp dried hibiscus or 1 teabag hibiscus

- 1 teaspoon honey (I used organic local honey)

المكونات:

- 1/2 كوب ماء (أنا أستخدمت ماء شرب)

- ملعقة صغيرة كركديه مجفف، أو كيس شاي كركديه

- ملعة صغيرة عسل (أستخدمت عسل طبيعي)

Why I choose these?

Hibiscus: it is rich in antioxidants, and contains a natural surfactants called saponin that can cleanse your skin in a natural way and helps to get rid of dead skin cells

honey:  because it is extremely moisturizing and soothing, also it helps create a glow. Also it is naturally antibacterial, so it's great for acne treatment and prevention.

ليش اخترت هذي المكونات؟

الكركديه: غني بمضادات الأكسدة، ويحتوي على مادة الصابونين التي تنظف البشرة بطريقة طبيعية وتساعد في التخلص من الجلد الميت

العسل: لأنه مرطب قوي ومهدئ للبشرة، ويخلي البشرة مشرقة. بالإضافة لهذا هو مضاد للبكتريا يعني ينفع في علاج الحبوب والوقاية منها.

How to:

1) add hibiscus to the water & let it boil until water turns red

2) remove from heat and let it cool down until it's warm to the touch *it have to be warm/lukewarm or you'll burn yourself!!*

3) add honey and mix well

الطريقة:

1) نحط الكركديه في الماء ونخليه يغلي للين يتحول الماء للون الأحمر

2) نشيله من على النار ونخليه يبرد (لازم يكون دافي وإلا راح تحرون نفسكم)

3) نحط العسل ونخلطه زين

How to use:

Step 1:

Wash face, you should always clean your face before applying masks; to get the full benefit of the mask, and to prevent clogging your pores and causing breakouts

Step 2: 

Apply face mask, I dipped cotton rounds in the mask then applied the cotton on my face, alternatively you can use paper mask if you have it

Step 3:

Wait for 20~30 minutes while the mask work it's magic

Step 4:

Remove the cotton, then pay it on your face, no need to wash

Step 5:

Apply moisturiser on top of it to lock the benefits of the mask in

طريقة الاستخدام :

الخطوة الأولى:

نغسل الوجه، لازم نكون البشرة نظيفة قبل لا نستخدم أي ماسك؛ عشان نستفيد من الماسك، وعشان مانتسبب في انسداد المسامات وظهور الحبوب

الخطوة الثانية:

نطبق الماسك على البشرة، أنا غمست قطن في الماسك وحطيت القطنة على وجهي، بس ممكن تستخدمون قناع اذا كان عندكم

الخطوة الثالثة:

نترك الماسك على البشرة لمدة 20~30 دقيقة 

الخطوة الرابعة:

نشيل القطن من على الوجه وتطبطب على البشرة عشان تتشرب بقايا الماسك، مايحتاج نغسل الوجه

الخطوة الخامسة:

نحط مرطب للوجه عشان نحتفظ على مفعول الماسك مده أطول

 النتيجة النهائية Final result

- leaves your skin glowing

- moisturizing and softening

- frequent use will give better results

- good for treating skin trouble *with frequent use

- natural and affordable

مميزاته:

- يخلي البشرة مشرقة

- يرطب وينعم البشرة

- الأستخدام المستمر يخلي النتائج أوضح وأقوى

- يساعد على تخفيف وعلاج الحبوب *مع الإستخدام المنتظم

- طبيعي وغير مكلف

Not suitable:

- Not vegan (contains honey)

- don't use if you are allergic to honey or hibiscus

- غير نباتي

- مايناسب اللي يتحسسون من العسل أو الكركديه

I've been using this toner for a while, and it's about time that I talk about it.

I was been using this toner in place of face wash since I've been too lazy to wash my face in the morning before I go to uni (summer course </3) and it have been working great, honestly I've noticed my skin getting much better since I started doing this.

كنت أستخدم هذا التونر بدل غسول الوجه لأنني ماكان لي مزاج ولا كان عندي وقت كافي أغسل وجهي قبل روحو الجامعة (الكورس الصيفي كان ممتعب) وحسنه ممتاز، لاحظت أن بشرتي صارت أحسن بعد مافمت أسوي جذي

How I use it: I used it daily in the morning instead of using face wash, I apply some of the product on round cotton pads and use it on my face and neck

طريقة الاستعمال: أستخدمته بشكل يومي في الصباح بدال إستخدام غسول الوجه، أحط شوي منه على قطن وأمسح فيه على وجهي ورقبتي

Smell: like rose water, but a bit unnatural

الرائحة: مثل ماء الورد تقريباً بس كأنها شوي صناعية

Texture: Just like water, but the colour is a bit beige 

القوام: مثل الماء، بس لونه مايل على بيج شوي

Pros:

- inexpensive, and you get a huge amount for very low price

- cleanse skin well, can be used instead of face wash

- free from alcohol, dye, and colorant

- not drying

- contains rosewater, glycerin, castor oil, and chamomile extract which is good for your skin

- I've noticed less breakouts and my skin became glowing and nice

مميزاته:

- سعره رخيص، وكميته راهية

- ينظف البشرة، وممكن إستخدامه بدلاً من غسول الوجه

- خالي من الكحول، الألوان، الصبغات

- ماينشف البشرة

- يحتوي على ماء الورد، الجلسرين، زيت الخروع، وخلاصة البابونج وكلها مفيدة للبشرة

- لاحظت قل ظهور الحبوب في بشرتي، وصارت شوي مشرقة

Cons:

- might not be easily available

- not suitable if you are allergic to rosewater

- قد لا يكون متوفر في كل مكان

- ما يناسب اللي يتحسسون من ماء الورد

August reading wrap-up

Hello everyone ♥ Today I want to share with you the books that I've read in August and what I thought about them.. in total I've read 8 books (cool coincidence.. reading 8 books in the 8th month lol)

Anyway, let's see the books I've read:

1. Red dragon by Thomas Harris: I've decided to read this book because I'm a big fan of NBC Hannibal.. So I borrowed a copy from a fellow member in my reading group.
The book is different that the series but I actually enjoyed reading it and wasn't bothered at all by the difference in the characters. and I loved Francis Dolarhyde even though he was the bad guy, actually I named one of my cats after him (it's a rescued cat)

2. Shadow of the wind by Carlos Ruiz Zafón: My first group reading!! Even though this book is a part of a series, you can read it alone because it contains one story that gets wrapped up in the end, so you can treat it as a stand-alone novel if you want to.
This book follows a little boy (Daniel) on his journey to unravel the mystery of Julian Carax.
This book was fun to read even though it was a bit long, the mysteries and blot twist are engaging, and the characters are lovable
also it is full of quotable content

3. Metamorphosis by Franz Kafka: short story that's a bit weird, but enjoyed it.. it's about a guy who woke up one day to find that he turned into an insect.
I listened to the BBC radio version read by cucumberbinch guy from SherlockRating: 3/5

4. When they come by Jason Sanchez: zombies, I've always loved post apocalyptic stuff, and I like zombies so I thought this would be a fun short read, I was wrong.. it was short drabbles going back and forth between characters with no real story, and it was a bit graphic

• But I liked the fact that they talked about how it started (even though it didn't explain everything)

5. Man and his symbol by Carl C. Jung: one of Bahraini Readers member was talking about it and recommended it to me, I'm in love with this book, I’ve always been interested in psychology and dreams but never read a book because I didn't know where to start but this was an amazing book.. listened to the audio book on YouTube

6. حديث الصباح لأدهم شرقاوي: أول كتاب عربي اقراه!! كان منتشر بكثرة في انستاغرام وشد انتباهي فقررت اقراه.. كتاب خفيف فيه قصص قصيرة ووياها عبر.. واجد تطرش في قروبات الواتساب

7. The old man and the sea by Ernest Hemingway: was told it is an short easy read, it was short but it wasn't easy, a lot of fishing related vocabulary, and a very boring story about a man who risked it all and lost it in the end.. would not recommend to anyone

8. Looking for Alaska by John Green: oh John green, I learned about him and started liking him from tumblr glory days when he was worshiped there, but I never managed to read anything by him until now, it was fun to read, shocking plot twist made it hard for me to keep reading, but I forced myself to read it and it was good again.. reason why I choose this book is because one of my kittens is names Alaska

يعدك بــ: سكرب الشفايف من بودي جار، يعطي الشفايف نعومة ويرطبهم ويفتحهم لإحتوائة على زيت فيتامين إي اللي يوفر الكثير من الترطيب والتفتيح

Ingredients: there are no listed ingredients, but the shop owner told me it contains vitamin E oil

المكونات: مو موجودة المكونات لكن صاحبة الحساب قالتلي أن فيها فيتامين إي

Size: 25ml

الحجم: 25ml

Price: 2.5 BD(around $6.63)

السعر: دينارين ونص

Packaging: cute small glass jar that have a metal cap, with a transpearant sticker that haves the store logo and the smell on it

العلبة: جرة زجاج صغيرة كيوت وغطاها معدن، عليها ستيكر شفاف فيه لوقو المحل ونكهة السكرب

How I use it: I use it twice a month. apply it on clean dry lips and massage it for a minute or so, then wash it with plain water. You don'y need a lip balm after because it leaves lips moisturized

طريقة الاستعمال: أنا استخدمه مرتين بالشهر. أحطه على شفايف نظيفة وجافة، وأسوي فيه مساج لمدة دقيقة تقريباً، وبعدها أغسله بماء فقط. مايحتاج حتى أستخدم مرطب بعده لأنه يرطب عدل

Smell: Strawberries. TBH I hate the smell of strawberries, especially the artificial kind, but this one smells yummy, it reminds me of Barbie lilipop that I used to love when I was a kid

الرائحة:  فراولة. أنا ماأحب الفراولة ولا ريحته، بالأخص إذا كانت صناعية، لكن هذا السكرب ريحته لذيذة، يذكرني بحلاوة باربي اللي كنت أحبها وأنا صغيرة

Texture: sugar soaked in a lot of oil,  you can feel the sugar granules but they are not rough

القوام: سكر مشبع بالزيت، تقدرون تحسون بحبيبات السكر لكنها ليست قاسية

Pros:

- removes dead skin without hurting your lips

- leaves your lips moisturized and suble

- it comes in different smells

- inexpensive

- smells amazing ♥

- leaves a faint red tint on your lips

مميزاته:

- يشيل الجلد الميت بدون مايعور أو يجرح الشفايف

- يخلي الشفايف مرطبة وصحية

- يجي برايح مختلفة

- الريحة تجنن

- يعطي لون أحمر صحي للشفايف

Cons:

- not be available outside of Bahrain

- ingredients not listed

- packaging is a bit unconvinient & not sanitary, because you have to use your finger to use the product

عيوبه:

- غير متوفر خارج البحرين

- المكونات غير مكتوبة

- العلبة شوي غير عملية، لأننا نحتاج نطلع المنتج بإصبعنا 

Improvement suggestions: I would prefer if there was a tiny spoon included.

إقتراحات: لو إنه يجي وياه ملعقة صغيرة أفضل للإستخدام

Repurchase: yes, I want to try the bubblegum flavour
