So let's start getting ready from today,
- Make sure you got everything you need for tomorrow (stationery, your schedule, makeup...etc.), and put it where you can see it, so you won't forget taking it with you
- Lay down what you'll wear tomorrow, that'll save you time -and stress- in the morning, also lay down your make up so you won’t have to waste your time looking for your stuff.
- Give yourself a nice pampering shower, and make sure your whole body is clean. **do not get a facial today, because your face might get irritated, a facial should be done at least 3 days prior to your event** you can do a face mask, but don't try anything new for the first time because you don't know how your skin will react to it
- Sleep early, I know it is not an easy task, but being sleepy throughout your first day will make things hard for you, aim to sleep for at least 4 hours
خلنا نبدأ نستعد من اليوم،
- إتأكدو إن كل أغراضكم جاهزة (القرطاسية، الجدول، المكياج... إلخ)، وحطوها في مكان تشوفونه علشان لا تنسونها
- جهزو الثياب اللي بتلبسونها من اليوم، علشان بكرة توفرون وقت الصبح، جهزو بعد المكياج اللي بتستخدمونه علشان لا تقعدون تدورونه
- إخذو شور مريح ودلعو روحكم، أهمشي يكون كل جسمكم نظيف لما تخلصون. **لاتسوون فيشل/تنظيف بشرة اليوم، لأن بشرتكم بتتحسس، الفيشل لازم يتسوى قبل بـ3 أيام ع الأقل** تقدرون تسوون ماسك/قناع للبشرة، بس لاتجربون شي جديد لأن ماتدرون شلون راح تستجيب بشرتكم
- نامو من وقت، أدري مهمة صعبة، لكن إذا كنتو تعبانين وفيكم النومة طول اليوم بينعفس يومكم، حاولو تنامون ع الأقل 4 ساعات

Now, I said to get your things ready, but what should you bring with you?
- Your schedule (click here if you don't know how to find it), it is very important to have your schedule with you since it contains all the information you'll need (class time and number, your ID, class name...etc.), I recommend you screenshot and use it as your phone lock screen, this way you'll be able to see it all the time. But really, bring your schedule, because unlike school, your name won't be written on the class door so you'll need that class number to find your class.
- A file, because you'll be given the class syllabus, and you don't want to lose that
- Notebook & Pen, to write important information (grading system, professor's name, midterm dates...etc.) you can check my post on what stationery you'll need here
- Money for your books, because you'll need to buy books
- Extra pair of comfortable shoes, Since it's your first day I'm sure you'll be wearing new shoes, and you know how new shoes tend to hurt feet on the first wear, so bring a comfy pair of shoes with you just in case. With that said, girls try not to wear high heels
- phone charger/power bank, because you don’t want your phone to die on you all of a sudden
- Perfume/Deodorant, because moving around in the hot weather can cause lots of sweating, you can see the full post here
ألحين، مساعة قلت أن لازم تجهزون أغراضكم لبكرة، لكن شنو الأغراض اللي بتحتاجونها؟
- جدولكم (تقدرون تشوفون شلون تطلعون الجدول من هني)، حده مهم إنكم تجيبون الجدول وياكم لأن فيه كل المعلومات اللي بتحتاجونها(رقم الصف ووقته، رقمكم الجامعي، رمز المقررات..إلخ)، أنصح إنكم تكبجرونه وتستخدمون الصورة كخلفية لشاشة التلفون يصيرأسهل لكم تشوفونه في أي وقت. لكن صدق ضروري يكون عندكم الجدول، لأن هني مو نفس المدرسة، إسمكم مابيكون مكتوب على باب الصف، لازم تحفظون رقم الصف وتروحونه
- فايل، لأن بيوزعون عليكم الخطة الدراسية/توصيف المقرر، وماتبون تضيعونها
- دفتر وقلم، حق تكتبون المعلومات المهمة (توزيع الدرجات، إسم الدكتور/ة، تواريخ الإمتحانات... إلخ) تقدرون تجيكون البوست اللي سويته عن القرطاسية هني
- فلوس حق تشترون الكتب
- جوتي مريح إحتياطي، لأنه أول يوم متأكدة إنكم بتكشخون بجوتي جديد، وكلنا نعرف شلون الجوتي الجديد يعور الرجول في أول لبسة، علشان جذي جيبو جوتي إحتياط. وبنات حاولو ماتلبسون كعب
- شاحن التلفون/شاحن متنقل(فراري)، لأن ماتبغون تلفونكم يبند عليكم بدون جارج
- عطر/مزيل عرق، لأن واجد بتتمشون في هالحر، البوست كامل موجود هني

Are you nervous about tomorrow? You probably won't know what you'll do right? I didn't know what to expect on my first day
متوترين بسبب بكرة؟ أكيد ماتدرون وش بتسوون صح؟ أنا بعد ماكنت أدري شنو أتوقع في أول يوم لي
Let me tell you some tips first:
- Most importantly, make sure you attend University (and all of your classes) on the first day, not going is not cool, and you'll miss stuff because -normally- professors handout syllabus, introduce themselves and tell you their rules, introduce the subject and how you should study for it, tell you what book to buy...etc.
- As I said earlier, you gotta sleep early to wake up early, because early bird gets the worm, and because rushing in the morning can be stressing and that is not a good way to start your day, so make sure you wake up early to give yourself plenty of time in the morning, I wake up an hour before I have to leave, so I can get ready in time (because I always procrastinate and find distractions)
Tip: use sleepbot to help you wake up smoothly
- Make sure you have breakfast, because you'll need energy, and nobody like Hangry people
- Leave the house early, since there is always traffic, and since it is the first day, there will be traffic inside the Uni
- Arriving early is good, you'll find a nice parking spot, and you'll get plenty of time to look for your classes.
- Enter the class early to find a seat, if you come late (which'll give the professor a bad impression of you) you might not find an empty chair to sit in since the class will be full, and you'll have to bring one from the nest class which can be a hassle. Also keep in mind that there is not assigned seating so you gotta go early every time
خل أعطيكم شوي نصائح أول:
- أهم شي تأكدو أنكم تداومون أول يوم وتحضرون كل الحصص، ترى مو كشخة أن ماتحضرون أول يوم، بتفوتكم أشياء مهمة لأن -عادةً- الدكاترة في أول محاضرة يوزعون توصيف المقررات، يعرفون عن أنفسهم ويقولون لكم قوانينهم، يعرفونكم على المادة ويقولون لكم شلون تدرسون لها، يقولون لكم أي كتاب تشترونه للمادة...إلخ
- مثل ماقلت من شوي، لازم تنامون من وقت حق تقعدون من وقت، لأن العجلة من الصبح تسبب توتر وهذي مو طريقة يبدي بها الواحد يومه، عشان جذي إعطو نفسكم وقت كافي من الصبح حق تجهزون، أنا أقعد قبل لا أطلع من البيت بساعة حق يكون عندي وقت كافي إنني أجهز (لأنني واجد أضيع وقت )
نصيحة: إستخدمو برنامج سليب بوت حق يساعدكم إنكم تقعدون من الصبح براحة
- تريقو، لأن بتحتاجون طاقة حق تواصلون يومكم، ومحد يحب الناس اللي نفسيتها خايسة لأنها ماكلت
- إطلعو من البيت من وقت، لأن الطريق دائماً زحمة، ولأنه أول يوم دوام الزحمة راح تكون دبل
- أحسن إنكم توصلون الجامعة من وقت، حق تحصلون بارك عدل، ويكون عندكم وقت كفاية تدورون صفكم.
- إدخلو السكشن من وقت قبل لاتبتدي المحاضرة علشان تحصلون مكان، إذا دخلتو متأخرين (وهذا بيعطي الدكتور إنطباع سيء عنكم) يمكن ماتحصلون كرسي فاضي وبتحتاجون تجيبون واحد من السكشن اللي صوبه كلش مالة داعي كل هذا، تعالو من وقت وفكو روحكم. أي ، ترى هني مو نفس المدرسة كل واحد له مكانه، هني من سبق لبق، فكل يوم روحو من وقت حق تحصلون مكان

Okay, let's talk about what we should do on our first day:
أوكي، ألحين نتكلم عن الأشياء اللي لازم تسوونها أول يوم:
- Go get a locker, it is better to get one as early as you can so you can get one, because there is a bit shortage on them
- While you are there (at the locker registration office, I mean) register for transportation as well (only if you don't have a car) Post coming soon on that
- You can go buy books today (I guess books are sold in hall 18, will update it when I get sure). Personally, I prefer going on the second day (MW) since the place won't be as crowded, and I'll be knowing all the books I need since I attended all my classes.
- Did you know that UoB offers its students free Wi-Fi? Connect to it (do you need me to make a tutorial?)
- Walk around to discover the place
- And most importantly, enjoy your day ♥
- روحو خذو لكم لوكر، كل ماتروحون قبل كل ماكان أحسن لأن ماعندهم لوكرات كفاية
- دام إنتو هناك سجلو لمواصلات الجامعة مرة وحدة (هذا إذا ماكان عندكم سيارة) بنزل بوست قريب عن هالشي
- تقدرون تروحون تشترون كتبكم اليوم (أتوقع أن الكتب يبيعونها في قاعة 18، بعدل البوست لما أتأكد). شخصياً، أفضل أروح ثاني يوم (MW) لأن المكان مايكون واجد زحمة، وبكون حضرت كل محاضراتي يعني أعرف كل الكتب اللي بحتاجها وآخذها مرة وحدة
- تدرون أن جامعة البحرين توفر لطلبتها واي فاي مجان؟ إشبكو هليه (تبون أسوي شرح للطريقة؟)
